Introduction Screensavers is a simple screensaver (animated wallpaper) for Mac OS X. A screensaver is a wallpaper that spins, fades or slides slowly and changes images over time. In this Screensaver tutorial I'll be showing you how to create your first screensaver. Creating a Screensaver in Macromedia Flash MX The main problem to create a screensaver in Macromedia Flash MX is that the most powerful toolkit for this purpose has been abandoned. There are however, powerful and robust screen scraper extensions for Flash that allow you to create this kind of functionality without the need to resort to using Apple-only Objective-C code. In this tutorial, we'll be using 1st part of Flash Scrapers which is called Export Screen Scrapper. Although Flash Scrapers are far from perfect there is a strong community developing a ton of extensions. For those who are not familiar with Flash Scrapers, you can follow this article: QuickStart: Export Screensaver and this one: Screen Scraper: Export Screen Scrapper in Action in order to understand what's going on. Let's begin: Open Flash Scrapers. If it's the first time you will have to install Flash Scrapers. You can do that in the Macromedia Flash Export Screen Scrapper article or you can go directly to the site to download the application (Flash Scrapers). After installation you will have to open Flash Scrapers. Open Export Screen Scrapper. In the upper left corner, click on "Preferences" and open the preferences window. Fill out the preferences for the screensaver you wish to create and click on "OK". Create your first screensaver. In the upper left corner, click on "Export Screensaver" and click on "Create Screensaver". In the upper right corner, a preview of your screensaver will appear. If you wish, move to the next screen and repeat the steps. Export the Screensaver. After clicking on the "Export Screensaver" button in the upper right corner, a small menu will appear: If you wish, you can continue to work directly on the export folder. You can rename the exported screensaver and add some comments. You can save them anywhere and you can export a screensaver as.swf,.fla or as.swc. Once you are satisfied with the export, click on "Export as SWF". You'll now have an exported version of your screensaver in the application, so you will have to upload it to the development server. Upload the Screensaver to the Development Server. Log in to your development server. You can do so in the upper right corner of the Macrom System Requirements: • Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit operating systems) or later • 1.8 GHz processor or faster • 1 GB RAM (RAM is required for in-game support and access to features and files) • 64 MB of VRAM (VRAM is required for in-game support and access to features and files) • DirectX 9.0c-compatible • 1280x720 or higher screen resolution • Keyboard (or a game controller) and mouse (or another compatible input device)For a long time, the core
